After traveling about 4km from Kalupahana junction on the Badulla-Colombo road, you can reach the Bambarakanda Falls.You must purchase a ticket before entering the waterfall area.By the concrete road, you can easily reach to the waterfall.
Most people do not know that there is another small waterfall in the upper area of bambarakanda falls.reaching to the upper area is a very dangerous and hard work.However, you can get a delightful view of the environment around bambarakanda falls, This upper area was a famous camping area in the past time but unfortunately, now this area is prohibited for the visitors since few months because of a boy has fallen from the upper area of the waterfall.
February and November are the best months to see the Bambarakanda falls because that are the raining months of the waterfall’s water source.
